Kara and Ben were married on a beautiful early spring day in February at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas. Everything about this couple is simple sophistication, from their engagement session to their ceremony and reception. St. Thomas is a stunning catholic church nestled in East Dallas and provided a captivating backdrop for the ceremony. The beautiful stained glass, vaulted ceilings, the massive pipe organ, the ornate alter and the never ending center aisle all made for a breathtaking experience. Kara's classic A-line dress with lace long sleeved bodice and simple hydrangea florals complimented timeless wedding day. The couple hosted their reception down the street from St. Thomas at Times Ten Cellar. The reception included a traditional Czech wedding march called the Grand March and Polka in which the bride and groom were separately escorted through their special guests only to be reunited at the end and celebrated surrounded by all their loved ones who cheered every time the couple kissed! The couple were sent off to their new life as husband and wife with a bubble sendoff. I love getting to journey with my couples through this special season in their lives and it is bitter sweet to send them off at the end of the reception. There will be other life moments that I can hopefully capture in the future! But for now, Kara and Ben are starting their lives together as husband and wife!
